Commuters and residents of Panvel complaining against the long route buses that not halting inside the bus stand. Many people in the city use bus services to reach their destinations as their primary transportation. Many such commuters noticed that many buses are just stopping near to the stand and leaving immediately. Panvel bus stand offers space for every bus that passes the city. It has designed to accommodate each category according to their destination in a particular space. This makes easy for commuter to find buses for a particular direction.

New commuters are more suffering due to these problems, as they don’t know where the buses are halting. As per the rules, every bus has to get inside the bus stand to collect commuters from inside. This is why a particular space is allotted for every bus with their destinations. Drivers and people found different reasons for not halting inside the bus stand. For some it is to save time and avoid Panvel bus stand. Commuters argue that this is because of damaged conditions of the bus stand that buses choose to stay out of it.

Stanly Sam a resident of Panvel said “Panvel is an important junction for transportation, due to its geographical nature. Over the years it has developed as a major junction to travel between Mumbai, Konkan region, Pune, Navi Mumbai and other important parts of the states. Many important road ways are also starting from this place. Thus Panvel bus stand become a hub for travellers. Many small scale commercials are also using these buses for cheap transportation. It is very important to reach all buses inside the bus stand and help commuters to travel.”

When contacted, authorities have informed to take all steps to avoid problems for commuters.
