Two Experiences Told by Sumant Gajbhiye from Navi Mumbai

Real life case studies at SharingDard of a male user from Mumbai and a female user from Navi Mumbai. (Identities cannot be revealed)

We had a user from Mumbai who was always upbeat, positive and used to inspire everyone at SharingDard. On questioning by a fellow user that how does he manage to stay positive, the answer revealed the biggest burden of his life? He said “I lost my wife to Cancer 3 years ago and she was a really positive person and wished that I live a positive life after her”. Needless to say, everyone at SharingDard developed high regards for him. Later on, one lady from Navi Mumbai joined SharingDard as a user and she had lost her husband recently. The man who lost his wife to cancer helped the lady who had lost her husband, to come to terms with her grief. This was truly a heartwarming story of how people who have had similar experiences connect and can learn from each other’s experiences. It was after this incident, that we started a feature on our website where a person can get in touch with people who have faced similar issues in past. This feature has become increasingly popular and is being used by many to find solace in a feeling of ‘I am not alone’ and of course learning from others experiences. ”

“One of our users Ananya (name changed) used to stay in Sector – 4 Nerul in a Paying Guest; they used to stay right besides Palm Beach Road, Navi Mumbai. She used to stay with 1 more girls who used to study in college with her. One day a guy started following her and passing lewd comments and remarks. She was brought up in a very conservative family and had come there only to study. She got scared and didn’t know what to do to get rid of this guy who used to follow her almost daily now. One day she shared her plight on and asked for help about what should be her next steps of action to avoid any issues. It was then that one of other users who claimed to be a policeman in the area near Navi Mumbai willing expressed interest to help this user. They exchanged their contacts and seemingly lodged a complaint. A few days later, Ananya shared that she was not stalked by the guy anymore and that the guy had learnt his lesson thanks to”
