Panvel residents are still in the shock of a house break-in incident which occurred some weeks back in Vichumbe, New Panvel. Police’s snail slow investigation process rattles the public. The victims of the brutal attack were given extensive medical support. Doctors at Prachin Hospital, Panvel helped the victim Ashok Savle who was seriously injured in the incident to overcome the trauma. Their constant and proper treatment and observation aided Savle to recover immediately. This is a new feather in the cap of Prachin Hospital.

In last 24 July, a band of dacoits broke into Vichumbe resident Ashok Ramdas Savle’s house in the midnight. At the time of the incident, Savle family members were in deep sleep. The robbers cut a window grill and got inside the house. They then tied Ashok, his wife and daughter and emptied cupboards. Ashok tried to resist the unidentified men, but they in turn took out a sharp weapon and hacked Ashok in his stomach before running away with cash and gold worth Rs 2 lakh 45 thousand.

A fatally wounded Ashok was taken to nearby hospitals in Panvel for treatment, but his condition was worsening. Finally, the family took him to Prachin Heath Care Center Multispecialty Hospital at Thane Naka, Panvel. He was battling for life and the timely and effective medical care offered by a team of doctors led by Dr. Mangesh Ramchandra Dhaka in Prachin Hospital was crucial in overcoming the dangerous situation. “Dr. Mangesh and his team’s treatment helped me to come back to normalcy very early,” said a grateful Ashok Savle.

Since the attack was so severe, the victim’s large intestine torn into two parts. Doctors at Prachin Hospital immediately conducted three major surgeries on him and joined the two parts of the intestine together. It was a life saving effort fromthe side of doctors which bore fruits. In the hospital, other than doctors, nurses and other staff completely cooperated with the victim and the family. Ashok thanked the doctors including Dr. Mangesh Dhake, Dr. Laxman Salve, Dr. Prashant Sawarkar, Dr. Gangaram Rane, Dr. Vivek Singh and Dr. Ashish Koregaonkar for their precious medical support.
